Software Developer / Full-Stack Developer (m/f/d)

Thoesch develops one of the leading voice-first guest experience platforms for hotels, destinations, and resorts. As the DACH market leader, we are already in use in four destinations and more than 50 hotels – including in Verona, Innsbruck, Zell am See-Kaprun, and the Alpbachtal.

Our SaaS platform seamlessly connects voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Google, Samsung, and Apple with hotel PMS, backend systems, and tourist destination data. According to Amazon, our voice assistant is one of the most successful hotel skills worldwide, achieving a daily usage rate of over 45 percent.

Following the merger with RoomPal, Europe's number two in the market, we are pursuing a clear goal: Together, we are building the leading European platform for voice-controlled guest experiences.

Tasks

You will be responsible for central development areas outside of the actual voice skill development – from API and system integration to the further development of our user interfaces and the integration of modern AI and LLM technologies.

• Conception, development, and further development of proprietary REST APIs as well as integration of heterogeneous third-party systems (PMS, booking/eCommerce tools, destination data sources)
• Further development of RoomGrid's GUI/frontend components (Dashboard, Content Manager, Device Manager, etc.) in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Practical integration and further development of AI technologies: LLMs, RAG, Embeddings, and Vector Stores for contextual, AI-powered applications
• Ideally, connection of AI-powered tools/interfaces via the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Participation in backend, databases, and Docker/CI/CD infrastructure as needed
• Close collaboration with the founding team

Our Architecture

RoomGrid is the central orchestration layer of our platform and connects multiple system worlds via APIs:

• Property Management & Backend Systems of Hotels (PMS Connectivity)
• Voice-Enabled Devices from Major Ecosystems: Amazon Alexa, Google, Samsung, Apple
• Destination Data (Events, Attractions, POIs) for Contextual Answers
• eCommerce, Reservation, and Other External Provider Interfaces
• Internal Modules: Voice Content Manager, Campaign Scheduler, Device Manager, Ticketing System, Dashboard & Analytics

For the AI-powered, contextual real-time answers of our voice assistant, we rely on LLM, RAG, and Embedding/Vector Store technologies – while strictly adhering to data protection: No conversations are recorded, and no personal or financial data is stored. In the current scaling phase (2026–2028), we will also build our own hardware and hosting infrastructure.

Qualifications

What you should bring

• Experience in integrating heterogeneous systems via REST APIs and in developing and further developing your own APIs. Confident handling of JSON, HTTP, authentication methods, and API documentation
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and experience in GUI development
• Practical experience in integrating AI technologies, especially Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, Embeddings, and Vector Stores

Desirable / Strong Plus

• Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the development of AI-powered applications and interfaces

Good Additional Qualifications

• Backend Development and Databases
• Docker and CI/CD
