As Software Developer / Engineer for KI-Robotics, you will support the redevelopment of our KI-Robotics systems.

This position will take place in cooperation with the Frauenhofer Institute during the onboarding phase.

Aufgaben

• Development, integration, and simulation of KI-based robotic systems in intralogistics
• Conceptualization and integration of control and communication architectures based on ROS2
• Development of software components for route planning, sensor fusion, and behavior coordination
• Participation in system design and safety concepts (functional safety, fallback strategies)
• BUILDING and testing of prototypes, SIL/HIL environments, and digital twins
• Collaboration with KI and simulation specialists
• Dokumentation, code reviews, CI/CD, and version management in the team
• Support for customer demonstrations and training of employees

Qualifikation

• Completed university degree in robotics, mechatronics, computer science or a comparable technical field (Master's or equivalent)
• Experience in the ROS2 ecosystem, particularly in working with RCL/RMW, tf2, ros2_control, MoveIt 2 and their integration into robotic systems
• Knowledge of planning and control approaches for autonomous and collaborative robotic systems, particularly in the context of gripper-, manipulation- and material flow systems
• Good programming skills in Python and/or C++ including test-driven and Git-based development
• Experience with simulation tools, such as KUKA.Sim, Visual Components, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo/Ignition or MuJoCo, for virtual commissioning and validation
• Kompetenz in error analysis, debugging, and performance optimization on system-, middleware- and application-level in the field of robotics and automation
• Very good communication skills in German and English (at least C1), particularly for collaboration in interdisciplinary and international development and research teams
