Job description

Tasks

  • Development and continuous optimization of software solutions for robotic applications
  • Concept, implementation, and maintenance of embedded firmware for microcontrollers (particularly STM32) as well as Linux-based control systems (e.g. Raspberry Pi or comparable SoCs)
  • Development of backend components and interfaces to cloud communication
  • Integration and use of industrial communication protocols and interfaces such as CAN, RS-485, Ethernet, or TCP/IP
  • Bonding and control of sensors, actuators, and electronic modules
  • Commissioning and hardware-based fault diagnosis using modern debugging and testing tools
  • Closer exchange with adjacent departments such as hardware development and construction

Qualification

  • Completed studies in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, automation technology or a comparable qualification
  • Multiple years of practical experience in embedded software development in an industrial environment
  • Very good programming knowledge in C/C++ as well as solid knowledge in Python and C#
  • Fundamental knowledge of microcontroller interfaces and peripherals (e.g. UART, SPI, I²C, ADC, PWM, GPIO)
  • Experience in debugging and testing embedded systems
  • Good understanding of electronic relationships and the interface between hardware and software
  • Experience in structuring development processes as well as validation and technical documentation
  • Very good German language skills as well as good English language skills in a technical context
  • Self-reliant, structured, and solution-oriented working style
  • Experience in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams (software, electronics, mechanics)

Benefits

  • Full-time position (40 hours/week) with a annual salary of up to 55,000 € – dependent on qualification and experience
  • Flexible working hours with core working hours from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm as well as the possibility for 2 days home office per week
  • Overtime account up to 50 hours, exceeding hours will be paid including bonus
  • 26 vacation days at start with scaling up to a maximum of 30 days depending on company affiliation
