Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of automated tests (e.g., with Python/pytest) for complex software and system interfaces in the SigInt environment
• Conception and implementation of test strategies and test plans for components, subsystems, and overall systems
• Hands-on execution of automated tests as well as targeted manual tests
• Analysis, reproduction, and systematic tracking of errors, including debugging at code and interface level
• Close collaboration with software development and system engineering at code and architecture level to ensure quality at an early stage
• Development, maintenance, and further development of test frameworks and test infrastructure
• Active participation in the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins), including integration of tests, reports (e.g., Allure), and quality gates (SonarQube)
• Work with development tools and processes such as Git, code reviews, build tools (Maven/Gradle), and IDEs
• Continuous improvement of test automation and development processes within the team

Qualifications:

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical degree program or apprenticeship
• Professional experience in software testing, ideally in safety-critical or complex systems
• In-depth knowledge of test design, test methods, and test documentation, preferably with ISTQB certification or equivalent
• Experience with common test and bug tracking tools, and ideally with test automation (e.g., Jenkins, Pytest)
• Proficient in using Linux-based systems and complex IT infrastructures is an advantage
• Experience in working with and communicating in interdisciplinary teams
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
