Software Test Engineer

The Challenge

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer immediately for our sister company Veynex in the Limburg / Brabant region. Do you get satisfaction from ensuring software quality and continuously improving test processes? Then this role is for you.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will collaborate with product owners, domain experts, and development teams to develop clear and effective test plans. You will ensure that software is thoroughly tested at all levels of the stack and actively focus on test automation. You will be involved in the entire test process and contribute to improving software quality within multidisciplinary development environments.

What will you do?

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and improving test processes. You will draw up test plans, refine requirements where necessary, and ensure that tests are executed efficiently.

You will use scripts and automated test tools to test software, validate test results, and report findings to stakeholders. Additionally, you will develop verification plans, quality assurance procedures, and test strategies. By continuously seeking improvements in processes and automation, you will help the team increase software quality sprint after sprint.

• Salary: €2,350 – €4,500 gross per month, depending on experience and fit with the role

Task distribution

40% Designing, developing, maintaining & validating test solutions

20% Executing automated and manual test scripts

15% Validating and reporting test results

15% Developing software verification plans, test strategies, and quality assurance procedures

10% Documenting and maintaining test procedures

Hard skills

• HBO or WO work and thinking level

• Completed education in Technical Informatics or comparable

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Software Test Engineer, preferably in a SAFe, Agile, or DevOps environment.

• Experience with test tools and test frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and Cucumber

• Knowledge of test methodologies such as CAT, TMAP, and ISTQB

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

• Knowledge of work methodologies such as DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and/or Kanban

• You master the Dutch and English languages excellently (spoken and written)

• You reside in the region or are willing to travel within a radius of approximately 60 minutes
