Software Project Manager (Warehouse Management)

For our client, an internationally active Swiss company in the field of intralogistics and automation, we are looking for a Software Project Manager who will be responsible for the software side of customer projects from project start to final acceptance.

Your tasks

• Leadership of software projects for intralogistics systems with responsibility for deadlines, costs, quality, and resources

• Central point of contact for customers in all software, process, and project topics, from project start to final acceptance

• Verification of requirements together with customers and specialist departments, finalization of the solution concept and transfer into a realistic project plan with clear milestones

• Management of the software development team and coordination with the Electrical/Mechanical, Commissioning, and Integration teams

• Management of risks, change requests, and budget, as well as transparent reporting to customers and management

• On-time acceptance of milestones and systems

Your profile

• Technical basic training with further education as an IT, electrical, or mechanical engineer (FH, ETH, TU, HF) or equivalent qualification

• Several years of experience in leading software projects, preferably in intralogistics or automation

• Very good knowledge of intralogistics processes and automation solutions, as well as practical experience with WMS, WCS, or MFS systems

• Sound knowledge of classic and agile project management methods

• Good understanding of software development

• Strong communication skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to confidently lead customers and interdisciplinary teams

• Willingness to undertake assignments with customers in an international environment

• Good command of German and English, both written and spoken, other languages are an advantage
