Job description
It's Monday morning at the office: time for the kick-off meeting for a new project!A producer of salad bowls wants to get their salad bowls into boxes as efficiently as possible and chooses an automated case packer. That means work at the store, for you as a Software Project Engineer.
For this End-Of-Line machine, you are responsible for all software and control-related matters during the engineering phase, assembly, testing, and commissioning of this project. Think about writing software for machine control, control panels, robot control, servo, and safety systems. During the kick-off meeting, discuss the various software modules, wishes, and your own ideas based on the client's layout. And then back to your office to start the software design.
After lunch, you head to the workshop. There, you test the automated palletizing system of a large tomato grower. During the testing, you encounter a software error, you quickly switch with the Project Engineer who happens to be walking by and fix the error. The machine is running smoothly again.
Is it already so late? You quickly fill in your travel request, because in two weeks you'll be flying to a foreign country for a week to set up the crane and conveyor belt in operation. It's great to see your own work in motion at the client's!
How you get things moving:
- HBO study in Industrial Automation or Electrical Engineering
- You are a go-getter and love to get things done
- At least 3-5 years of experience with servo control, robot, and PLC software
- 15-20% of your time is spent abroad (at our clients)
We offer:
A completely new supermarket experience. Huh, what?! Really.
As soon as you start working at Lan Handling, you can never do normal shopping again. From that moment on, you'll be spinning plates, pots, and meal bags everywhere.
Just to check: yes! We also handle this product with our machines! But, that's not all:
- Earn a salary between € 4,500 and € 6,400, depending on your experience.
- A clear growth path with opportunities in R&D, service, or commissioning engineering.
- A work environment full of opportunities to develop yourself further. Good idea? Training wishes? Discuss it with your supervisor and get started.
- Do you work on-site at a client? Then we have a great compensation scheme.
- Next to 25 vacation days, you'll also get 13 additional days off. So you'll have enough time to do fun things besides work.
- 8% vacation allowance.
- Flexible working hours, so you can make time for sports, hobbies, or just taking your kids to school in the morning.
- An annual profit-sharing payment. Because we work from the idea that we do it together and everyone contributes to a positive result for the organization, you'll benefit from a financially successful year for the organization.
- A good travel expense reimbursement.
- Go quad biking or shine during one of the other fun activities organized by our employee association.
