Software PLC Engineer – R&D Workload: 100% Location: Losone Job type: Unlimited Your tasks Participate in the analysis of project needs and contribute to the definition of software requirements, including inputs from Market, Production, and R&D. Collaborate with HMI, process control, mechanical, and electrical teams to define specifications for complex PLC and real-time software components. Develop, test, and optimize PLC and real-time software applications to meet functional and performance requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions into the overall product development process. Your skills Strong understanding of PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Function Block) and experience in developing real-time software applications. Knowledge of automation systems, including HMI, SCADA, and control systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Modbus). Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
