Who we are

Mayflower GmbH is a medium-sized service provider for custom software with a focus on "Generative AI". In founder-led hands since 1998, we develop software and advise clients from all industries. We rely on Cloud Native, modernize software, and support our clients with tailor-made AI solutions.

We are expanding our "Generative AI" business area and are looking for you to build good software for clients that solves relevant problems.

What awaits you

• You will develop custom software for various clients and diverse use cases based on LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral) using frameworks and libraries such as LangChain, LangGraph, Open Hermes, Transformers for Generative AI and RAG pipelines.
• You will use and process data via embeddings, vector databases, APIs, cloud storage, and legacy/enterprise systems so that AI applications can work with relevant information to create real added value for the client.
• You possess the ability to apply your existing know-how to new challenges.
• You will advise our clients on the functional and technical implementation of GenAI applications and their integration.
• You enjoy sharing your knowledge, for example at conferences, meetups, or in technical articles.
• You use Open Source for problem-solving and contribute back improvements and extensions.
• You keep an eye on the GenAI market and the further development of technologies and trends.

What you should bring

• Several years of professional experience in software development, ideally with a custom software service provider or IT consultancy.
• Experience with RAG or RAG pipelines using embeddings, vector databases, and LLMs.
• Basic knowledge of probabilistic testing with test sets and quality assurance with metrics.
• You enjoy interacting with clients (e.g., in consulting or pre-sales).
• You speak fluent German at C1+ level and conversational English.
• Traveling within Germany 1-2 times a month to meet clients and colleagues in person is not an obstacle for you.

• Competitive compensation: Depending on your experience and skills, we offer a gross annual salary of €65,000 to €75,000 for 40 hours per week.
