Software Developer (m/w/d)

We are looking for software developers (m/w/d) to define and implement mathematically challenging algorithms for sensor fusion and automatic data analysis in safety-critical applications with knowledge in the field of machine learning / KI-methods.

We are an innovative software engineering company that was founded as a spin-off of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2011. Since then, we have been developing customized software solutions in close cooperation with our customers from various industries - from fault-tolerant embedded systems to applications in the defense and aerospace sector.

Tasks

• Analyse and evaluation of new technological methods for current IoT/ Industry 4.0 challenges
• Specification of software requirements and corresponding tests
• Design of algorithms for data processing and fusion for implementation in systems for our customers
• Creation of mathematical models of complex processes
• Development of software from functional prototypes to the product
• Implementation of challenging algorithms in real-time systems
• Adaptation of software into an embedded device or cloud solution
• Realization of safety-critical applications for different customer markets

Qualification

• SUCCESSFUL completion of a degree in computer science (uni/fh) or equivalent training (M.Sc. or Ph.D.)
• Multiple years of professional experience (3-10 years) in software development (focus on C++ and/or Java) and good Python knowledge
• Practical experience in working with CI/CD pipelines and corresponding tools (jira, jenkins, github/gitlab etc.) and best practices
• Structured and solution-oriented work style, advanced analytical skills, and team ability
• Experience with resource-saving programming and real-time operating systems is advantageous
• Experience in developing safety-critical applications is advantageous
• Experience in applying agile development processes such as Scrum is advantageous
• Reliability and high quality awareness
• Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
