As a Software Engineer at meshcloud, you will work every day to make our product meshStack better. meshStack provides internal developer platforms for large organizations, and your work will directly impact how platform teams can improve the developer experience for thousands of application teams worldwide. What we're looking for:

• Strong product focus: You value user experience and consistency in APIs and domain design
• You have experience both in frontend and backend and build features end-to-end
• Solid foundations: You know your SOLID principles, know when a simple SQL query is the right choice, and have a good understanding of distributed systems
• You work well in cross-functional teams with colleagues from Customer Success and our Resident Platform Engineers and appreciate the opportunity to receive direct insights from early adopters
• You love learning new technologies and use AI cleverly and responsibly

Qualification

Must Haves

• Solid experience in Kotlin or Java, as well as TypeScript
• At least 3 years of experience in successfully developing full-stack applications on a common tech stack (our stack is Spring Boot + Angular, but we're open to other experiences)
• Fundamental understanding of cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes or a larger cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• You ensure long-term code quality by writing meaningful tests with common frameworks (JUnit, Jasmine, Cypress)
• Fluent language skills in German and English
• You bring genuine interest in people and set yourself for a respectful, appreciative coexistence – regardless of origin, identity, or background.

Nice-to-haves

• Practical experience with Terraform or another established IaC tool
• You have already worked in the field of Platform Engineering or contributed to it
• You are polyglot and bring knowledge of additional programming languages and tools (e.g., Go, Python)
