Software Engineer

This position is for working in a face-to-face regime, in Contagem, Minas Gerais.

Who will you work with?

You will work with the team responsible for Developing applications of TCOS-Office at Wabtec Brasil that includes all SWs of the train dispatch system of the center of control and operation of railway networks for cargo transportation. The system is responsible for granting licenses for train operation, authorization of train entry into tracks, presentation of real-time train positioning on the entire network, presentation of events related to maintenance and disconnection of tracks as well as general messaging between the control center and locomotives in real-time.

We are looking for a passionate software developer to integrate our team and contribute to the development of our solutions. The ideal candidate has experience in C#, VB.NET, .NET Core and related frameworks, as well as experience in front-end (Angular, Rest).

As a member of the Software Engineering Office team, you will be responsible for:

• Helping with the conception, implementation, infrastructure, and scaling of software applications developed by the TCOS-Office Brasil group;
• Collaborating on architecture, project, and software development, system analysis, QA, and DevOps;
• Analyzing, documenting, and re-implementing legacy softwares using a decentralized architecture;
• Analyzing business requirements and translating them into innovative technical solutions;
• Developing and maintaining applications using C++, VB.NET, C# .NET, Angular;
• Creating intuitive and responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies;
• Collaborating with unit tests and integration testing to ensure code quality;
• Working in a team, collaborating with other developers and stakeholders;
• FOLLOWING the latest trends in software development and proposing continuous improvements;
• Integrating design review meetings to ensure quality and suitability of source code;
• Being responsible for validating pull requests;
• Providing support to less experienced developers.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields;
• Widespread experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks like React, Angular, Rest or Vue.js);
• Experience in software development (.NET, C# - full stack);
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle);
• Experience with connections between applications and processes (Sockets, API, others) in distributed solutions;
• Interest in identifying and implementing new technologies suitable for the business;
• Experience in agile methodology (Scrum) and its ceremonies;
• Knowledge of cybersecurity in applications.

In addition, it is desirable:

• Experience with Azure DevOps for integrating requirements with test cases;
• Knowledge of Microservices;
• Experience in designing and implementing SOA architectures;
• Knowledge of Cloud (AWS/Azure), SaaS;
• Knowledge of requirement documentation, use cases, and story writing;
• Portuguese (participation in meetings with clients and third-party companies when necessary);
• Knowledge of software development documentation, generally (Memorandums, Architecture, Specifications, User Manuals, others);
• Experience in software solutions applied to the process industry;
• Experience in railway information systems;
• Experience in client-server architecture.
