Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer for our Pieve di Cento location, specializing in emergency lighting, who has experience in software development for Linux-based embedded systems, particularly on custom distributions created with Yocto Project, and in the development of embedded web servers for device configuration, monitoring, and control.

The candidate will be part of the development team and will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software for industrial or IoT embedded devices.

Main Responsibilities:

• Software development for embedded Linux based systems
• Creation, customization, and maintenance of Linux distributions via Yocto Project
• Development and integration of embedded web servers and web UIs for embedded devices
• Implementation of backend applications for embedded systems
• Debugging and diagnostics on embedded hardware targets
• Collaboration with hardware, firmware, and system engineering teams
• Preparation of technical documentation and support for testing and validation phases

Technical Requirements:

• Degree in Computer/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of embedded Linux
• Hands-on experience with Yocto Project
• Programming in C/C++; Python
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Ability to debug embedded systems (gdb, logs, serial, network)
• Programming experience on ARM microcontrollers
