Software Engineer

The Company

Our client is a very progressive company, incorporating technology and creative photography. They develop innovative digital solutions in a niche industry, combining e-commerce functionality with high-performance image processing and publishing.

As they continue to expand, they are looking for a Software Engineer to join their high-performance software development team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the technology that powers the company's e-commerce platform and design studio. You'll be working across the full stack with a strong emphasis on backend development, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.

You'll collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and other developers to enhance platform performance, improve image and PDF rendering capabilities, and contribute to the overall technical direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-stack development using Node.js, .Net 6+, AWS Lambda, SQL, and Angular.
• Work on backend infrastructure, including microservices and serverless computing.
• Develop upon and maintain an advanced image and PDF rendering system.
• Optimize e-commerce functionality and implement new features.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and maintain code quality.

Tech Stack & Tools

• Backend: Node.js, AWS Lambda, SQL (DynamoDB)
• Frontend: Angular
• Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, Cloud Services)
• Other Focus Areas: Microservices, image processing, PDF manipulation, efficient metadata handling.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software development experience, ideally in a full-stack capacity.
• Strong backend skills with Node.js and AWS infrastructure experience.
• Frontend experience with Angular (preferred) or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a young, dynamic, and collaborative team.
