Software Engineer Linux OS (m/f/d)

Your Goal
As a Software Engineer Linux OS, you will be responsible for the operating system of our gateways. You will shape the foundation for a secure, stable, and scalable ecosystem that enables the operation, monitoring, and updating of our device fleet. In doing so, you lay the groundwork for our applications and actively contribute to the digitalization of energy grids!
Your Tasks
- You develop and maintain a secure and modular Linux operating system for our gateways.
- You conceptualize and implement frameworks and interfaces for monitoring and updating the device fleet.
- You integrate solutions for device identification, authentication, and authorization to ensure the highest level of security.
- You actively drive the topic of Linux OS forward and independently bring technical further developments from idea to successful implementation.
Your Profile
- You bring profound knowledge of modern software development workflows, e.g., version control with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated Testing, and code reviews.
- You have extensive experience in the development of Linux operating systems and software architectures.
- You are familiar with tools like Yocto for creating and customizing Linux distributions.
- You have profound knowledge of current programming languages such as C++ and Python
- You have very good knowledge in the area of Docker and containerization.
- You are well-versed in the conception of secure systems, e.g., through threat modeling.
- You enjoy taking on responsibility and are a communicative team player.
- You maintain an overview even with complex systems and actively shape them.
- Very good German skills in spoken and written language complete your profile.
