Software Engineer III

This role focuses on building and maintaining secure communication components for mission-critical systems, including SSH, TLS/SSL, and related cryptographic services on enterprise platforms. You will work on system-level software used by global financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies to secure their mission critical environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, test and troubleshoot software across different hardware, database and programming technologies Write clean, maintainable code; perform code reviews and contribute to improvements to coding standards Participate in the design and architecture of new software components and systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features Troubleshoot and debug production issues Participate in requirements gathering, definition, and documentation Participate in team and individual code reviews Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 5+ years of experience in software development Experience with C/C++ programming languages Experience with networking protocols and security technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, TLS/SSL, SSH) Experience with debugging and troubleshooting software issues Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git) Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bonus Points Experience with cryptographic libraries (e.g., OpenSSL) Experience with performance optimization Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Familiarity with agile development methodologies Benefits Competitive salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) plan Professional development opportunities
