Software Engineer III, Backend (Identity & Security) @ Box Inc.

WHO YOU ARE? 4 years of professional software engineering experience building backend or distributed systems. Strong Java development skills and a track record of delivering production software. Experience building and operating backend services in production environments. Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including system design, testing, performance, scalability, and reliability. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex technical issues. Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working in an Agile environment and using version control systems like Git. Familiarity with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure. Strong understanding of security principles and practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption. Experience building and operating identity and access management solutions. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements. WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH? Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA. Work closely with the engineering team to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality software. Contribute to the development of technical documentation and provide training to other engineers.
