SOFTWARE ENGINEER

IEMA Srl, a leading company in electrical systems and technological solutions for automatic machines, based in San Giorgio di Piano, is selecting

a SOFTWARE ENGINEER

The resource will be responsible for developing software for automatic machines and systems, following the entire project lifecycle, from the analysis of specifications to after-sales support.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the client for the collection of technical specifications, management of clarifications, and modification requests.
• Develop industrial automation software based on customer specifications, using PLC systems, Motion Control, HMI, robotics, and vision systems.
• Perform technical review of software projects, verifying their compliance with requirements.
• Execute software simulations and tests during the development phases.
• Carry out software testing and machine startup at the client's or end-customer's premises, in Italy and abroad, when required.
• Manage the archiving of technical documentation and software projects.
• Provide after-sales support through technical assistance, remote assistance, and software updates.

Requirements

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent qualification, or consolidated experience in the role.
• Knowledge of the main PLC programming systems and industrial automation technologies.
• Familiarity with Motion Control, HMI, robotics, and vision systems.
• Analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and independent task management.
• Availability for travel for testing and startup activities at client sites.
• Good interpersonal skills and customer orientation.
