Software Engineer Git/Perl (Remote from EU)

This Administrator will provide technical support and continuous improvement to the organization’s software development environment. This role focuses on the administration and optimization of Git environments and the automation of development workflows, requiring solid experience with Perl scripting and Unix-based systems. Key Responsibilities * Support and maintain the organization’s software development environment. * Administer and optimize Git environments, including configuration, access control, and performance tuning. * Automate development workflows using scripting languages (Perl). * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Git and development tools. * Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines. * Collaborate with development teams to improve development processes. * Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. * Create and maintain documentation. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. * Proven experience in administering and optimizing Git environments. * Strong scripting skills, particularly with Perl. * Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems. * Understanding of CI/CD principles and practices. * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus Points * Experience with other scripting languages (e.g., Python). * Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). * Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
