Software Engineer

Job Description POSITION TITLE: Software Engineer REPORTING TO: Manager REPORTING LOCATION: Bangalore WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore, India SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES: A software crasftsman who can contribute to the design, development, troubleshoot, test and document enterprise web applications and services. POSITION & OBJECTIVES: As a Software Engineer, the main objective of this position is to deliver high quality software on his/her own and/or together with the team (including design, development, testing, and documentation) in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services. * Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. * Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. * Troubleshoot and debug software issues. * Conduct unit and integration testing. * Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends. * Participate in the full software development lifecycle. * Estimate project timelines and provide status updates. * Adhere to coding standards and best practices. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. * 2+ years of experience in software development. * Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++). * Experience with web application development and RESTful APIs. * Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). * Experience with Agile development methodologies. SKILLS: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. * Ability to learn new technologies quickly. * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. * Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
