Software Engineer (C / C++)

• Design and development of software embedded subsystems
• Writing code in C/C++ for Linux embedded (drivers, interfaces, functionalities)
• Collaboration with System Engineer and Tech Lead to understand architecture
• Implementation and testing in an Agile context (code review, refactor, unit tests)
• Active participation in the complete lifecycle: requirements → design → testing → validation

A top German company in the field of electric autonomous vehicles and logistics automation solutions is expanding its embedded team in Romania, directly in the Ploiești factory.

The new on-site team will be responsible for designing and developing software that controls physical equipment produced locally: AGVs, electric lift trucks, automated lifting and transportation systems.

You will be part of a technical team that develops real-time embedded software controlling electric vehicles produced by Jungheinrich. You will write code in C/C++, work on Linux embedded, and contribute to critical functionalities (navigation, braking, task operation, sensors).

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development
• Advanced knowledge of C / C++
• Real-world experience with Linux embedded (Yocto, Buildroot, BusyBox etc.)
• Experience in integrating with hardware (ECUs, sensors, actuators)
• Architectural understanding, able to propose robust and scalable solutions
• Agile, CI/CD, Git – practical experience
• English language – advanced level
