Software Engineer

Are you an experienced software engineer who doesn't shy away from complex technical challenges? For Benchmark, we are looking for a Software Engineer with in-depth expertise in C++, who will take on substantive responsibility within challenging high-tech development projects.

As a Software Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team on the development of advanced software for high-tech systems. You will be fully involved in the design, simulation, implementation, and verification phases of embedded application software and will make a substantive contribution to technical choices and solution directions.

Within the Scrum team, your focus will be on:

• Designing and (further) developing customer-specific embedded applications.

• Robustly and maintainably implementing software in C++.

• Verifying and testing functionality within complex systems.

You will act as the technical point of contact for the client and will be able to clearly substantiate and communicate substantive considerations. Furthermore, you will report both externally (to the client) and internally to the project leader on progress, risks, and technical choices.

You will be working in an international, high-tech environment where quality, reliability, and technical depth are central. Together with your team, you will develop innovative technology for a client that is at the forefront of testing and measurement, radio and RF, cybersecurity, and secure communication. • Competitive salary: with a range of €5,281 to €7,010 gross per month based on a full-time work week and dependent on your previous work experience and educational background.

• Quarterly bonus: this is turnover-dependent and can amount to a maximum of 5% of your quarterly salary.

What do we look for in our future colleague?

You have a professional and structured work attitude, are ambitious and dare to take on challenges, think creatively with clients about innovative solutions, and independently take responsibility for your planning.

Furthermore, we consider the following important:

• You have a robust and extensive background in C++ programming.

• Familiarity with Agentic or AI-supported programming.

• Familiarity with Qt and Python is a plus (but not required).

• Knowledge of electronics is a plus (but not essential).

• A completed BSc. or MSc. degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Good command of the English language in all aspects.
