Software Engineer

We are looking for a software engineer who doesn't just follow, but sets the pace. AImera Group - we are a technology-driven IT boutique specializing in Machine Learning, Data Products, and scalable software solutions. We build systems that function, scale, and have real impact.

In the context of an innovative funding project, we develop a KI-based mobile application that addresses real social challenges.

We are looking for a software engineer with a clear backend focus who will work together with our KI engineer to be responsible for the technical core of the project - from APIs and data flows to app integration.

The focus of the role lies on the backend (Python & Node.js). The mobile apps should be implemented using a cross-platform approach.

Tasks

• Development and operation of scalable backend services in Python and Node.js
• Conceptualization and implementation of API-first backends for Android- and iOS-apps
• Integration of KI- and data components into productive systems
• Implementation and maintenance of cross-platform mobile apps (e.g. Flutter or React Native)
• Bonding external services and data sources
• Setting up authentication-, authorization-, and role models
• Ensuring stability, performance, and maintainability
• Closely working together with the KI engineer on architecture- and technology-related decisions

Qualification

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in software or backend development
• Very good German language skills at C2 level (written and spoken)

In addition, you bring:

• Very good knowledge of Python (e.g. FastAPI, Django, Flask) and/or Node.js (e.g. NestJS, Express)
• Experience in designing and operating REST APIs
• Familiarity with databases (relational and/or NoSQL)
• Experience with Git and Docker
• Will to implement mobile apps using a cross-platform framework
• Structure, pragmatism, ownership, and drive

Nice to have (not a must):

• Erfahrung mit Flutter or React Native
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning workflows
• Erfahrung with event-driven architectures or message queues
• Erfahrung with geodata or location-based services
