Location:Romania – Helion S.A. has physical offices in Bucharest and Oradea. The presence of the candidate in one of these locations constitutes an advantage, but the role is hibrid, without requiring full-time presence at the office.

Role:

We are looking for a Software Development Manager / Tech Lead who will combine technical management with direct involvement in coding, where necessary.

The role requires coordination, technical decision-making, and delivery, but also effective contribution to code (feature-specific development, critical bug fixes, code review, team support).

Main responsibilities:

1. Technical manager and point of contact for the HelionData v3 development contract, realized with an external subcontractor (duration: 12 months)

• tracking deliverables, technical validation, architecture decisions.
• Start project: immediately.

2. Coordinating the development of a medical prevention platform, realized together with a university in Romania:

• 24 months development + ~20 months maintenance
• Start project: july 2026.
• Platform with two access levels: students/residents & doctors

3. Coordinating HelionData v2 maintenance and minor evolutions, with direct involvement in coding, alongside a team of 2 mid-level programmers

Note: In the event of new projects appearing under the responsibility of the Software Development Manager, these will be separately rewarded, differently from projects currently in progress.

Desired profile:

• Experience as a Tech Lead / Engineering Manager / Software Development Manager
• Solid practical development experience (not just coordination)
• Capacity to enter code when needed
• Experience in coordinating small teams and collaborating with subcontractors
• Autonomy, organization, and clear communication
