SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Job Objective:

Participate in analyzing requirements, designing, coding, integrating, verifying, and/or validating software for our products, with emphasis on meeting the functionality of the same, based on client specifications (external or internal). Collaborate jointly with the development team and validation of software.

Activities:

Analyze specifications and/or requirements provided by the client for the development of a software product.

Discuss improvements and adaptations to requirements with the client.

Design the architecture of software components and/or subcomponents, including data structures, interfaces, and control flow.

Select the most suitable components and/or tools (microcontroller, compiler, debugger, etc.) for the product.

Participate in estimating effort and cost of the product.

Evaluate the impact of engineering changes. Analyze feasibility of changes and define optimal implementation methods.

Makes changes to software as required by the client.

Define characteristics and requirements for equipment and software for verification and validation teams.

Collaborate in testing and validating developed software.

Lead other engineers in developing modules/systems, executing a technical leader or coordination role of a team.

Define and lead activities in the context of meeting and optimizing the software development process based on standards and recommendations for methodologies and/or quality standards.

Report hours dedicated to projects for department control.
