Job description

As the Software Development Engineer in Test (macOS) you will own the quality of macOS integration layers, including endpoint security agents, network extensions, and other system-level components. You'll work closely with engineering and product teams to build high-fidelity automated tests, validate complex behavior across macOS internals, and ensure our platform’s reliability, security, and compatibility on Apple hardware. Responsibilities: * Work with product development teams throughout the product lifecycle to understand and influence testing requirements. * Design, develop, and maintain automated tests, frameworks, and tools to test macOS software, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and high quality. * Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve software defects, ensuring timely and effective resolution. * Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality. * Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on testability and quality. * Stay up-to-date with the latest macOS technologies and testing methodologies. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures. * Troubleshoot complex issues, debug code, and provide clear and concise communication of findings. * Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. * Create and maintain test environments, including hardware and software configurations. Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. * 3+ years of experience in software testing or development, with a focus on macOS. * Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Swift, Objective-C, Python. * Experience with macOS internals, including system APIs, kernel extensions, and network protocols. * Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, such as XCTest, Quick, or similar. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools. * Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus Points: * Experience with security testing. * Experience with endpoint security products. * Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols. * Experience with performance testing and profiling tools. * Contributions to open-source projects.
