Software Developer Security Analytics

Remote - Location: Mostly remote (within Germany), with monthly in-person collaboration at our Berlin office Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Contract: Fixed-term Salary: EUR 69,000 – 77,000 We are building a new capability that turns fragmented, noisy security logs into actionable intelligence. You will be a key player in designing, developing, and deploying our security analytics platform. This involves working with large datasets, developing sophisticated detection algorithms, and ensuring the platform's scalability and reliability. You will collaborate closely with security analysts, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver cutting-edge security solutions. What you'll do: * Design and implement scalable data processing pipelines for security logs. * Develop and optimize algorithms for threat detection and anomaly identification. * Build robust APIs for data access and integration with other security tools. * Contribute to the architectural decisions of the security analytics platform. * Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of the platform. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions. * Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. What you'll bring: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. * Proven experience as a Software Developer, with a focus on backend development. * Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, Go. * Experience with distributed systems and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hadoop). * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL). * Understanding of security principles and common attack vectors. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Nice to have: * Experience with security analytics tools and platforms. * Knowledge of machine learning techniques for security applications. * Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices. * Contributions to open-source projects.
