Evident Technology Center Europe GmbH (ETCE) with its headquarters in Münster, Germany develops and produces as a worldwide "Center of Excellence" for over 35 years intelligent software and hardware solutions for microscopy and was until March 2023 part of the Olympus Corporation, Japan. In April 2023 Olympus spun off the business segment and transferred its business activities to the newly founded independent company Evident.

Tasks

• You will work in an agile developer team on the continuous development of our SLIDEVIEW VS200 Slide Scanners – an innovative, automated microscopy system for research and medicine (IVD).
• Your task spectrum ranges from device control and process control to image processing and UI development (WPF/MFC).
• Together with other developers in our experienced Scrum teams, you will clarify requirements, develop sustainable concepts, and take responsibility for the entire development process.
• You design and implement software components and are responsible for debugging, maintenance, and documentation within our platform.
• You synchronize software development with hardware development and work with our scanner systems to ensure error-free integration of new hard- and software components into the overall system.
• You use modern C++ standards and bring in new language features specifically into further development.
• You ensure software quality within the team – including automated unit and integration tests, code reviews, and continuous integration.

Requirements

• A successful degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
• Multiple years of experience in professional software development under Windows.
• Fundamental knowledge of C++, basic knowledge of C#; experience with STL and the Boost (C++) library.
• Familiarity with modern C++ standards (C++20).
• Praxis in developing professional user interfaces for Windows (WPF, MFC).
• Safe handling of Microsoft Visual Studio; experience with Git and CI/CD.
• From an advantage: Experience in medical applications (IVD), DICOM, digital image processing, as well as Cyber Security.
• Very good German and English skills in writing and speaking.
• Team orientation, communication strength, and enthusiasm for application-oriented solutions.
