As a Software Architect, you provide orientation for our established C++ system landscape, make sound architectural decisions, and develop our products step by step – pragmatically, sustainably, and with a view to what our customers truly need.

Your new role – if you want to shape architecture:

• You are responsible for the overall architecture and ensure the scalability, maintainability, and future viability of our solutions.
• You plan the reduction of technical debt and drive the gradual modernization of our established C++ system landscape.
• You define architectural principles, standards, and decision-making processes and support their implementation in design reviews.
• You are a technical sparring partner for the development team and support decisions regarding technology, frameworks, and make-or-buy.
• You shape the integration architecture with external partners and establish clear API and interface standards.

What you bring – and we're excited about:

• You have 8 or more years of experience in software development in an enterprise environment, including at least 3 years in an architecture role with demonstrable system-level decisions.
• You have in-depth knowledge of service-oriented architectures and API design, especially REST and Event-Driven Architecture.
• You have experience with C++ and large, established software systems and find pragmatic solutions for complex challenges.
• You communicate technical contexts clearly to developers, business departments, and management.
• Experience with data protection, compliance, or regulated environments is a plus – as is the willingness to familiarize yourself with pharmacy-specific requirements.
