Software Architect (m/f/d) for Web, Backend, and Platform Solutions

As a Software Architect (m/f/d), you will shape the architecture and further development of software solutions around Swissbit Tools, management platforms, as well as web, backend, and frontend components.
You combine architectural thinking with practical software development and work closely with Product Management, Tech Leads, Development, Testing, and Security.
In doing so, you translate requirements into secure, maintainable solutions, develop target images, define interfaces, and validate technical assumptions through prototypes, proofs of concept, or your own implementation contributions.

• Analysis of existing software solutions, architectures, interfaces, data flows, and dependencies
• Development of target architectures and technical solution approaches for Swissbit Tools, management platforms, as well as web, backend, and frontend components
• Definition of system boundaries, components, APIs, interfaces, and data models
• Transfer of functional, technical, and regulatory requirements into viable software concepts
• Understandable documentation and communication of architectural decisions
• Evaluation of technical options, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and conflicting goals
• Support of development teams in implementation, prototyping, and technical validation, taking into account maintainability, testability, security, and lifecycle

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in software development as well as web, backend, or frontend architectures
• Solid understanding of modular and distributed software systems, APIs, data flows, and system integration
• Structured analysis of complex technical interrelationships and translation into pragmatic solutions
• Generalist architectural understanding with technical depth and practical validation through prototypes or own implementation
• Experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI, modern web technologies, and programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
• Ideally, knowledge in databases, messaging, event-driven architectures, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD
