Social Media & Student Engagement Coordinator

Job Description About the Role We’re looking for a creative, outgoing, and food-loving individual to join our on-campus dining team at UPEI as a Student Engagement & Social Media Coordinator . In this hands-on, on-site role, you’ll manage and grow the social media presence for the Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall and Samuels Café . You’ll be capturing authentic moments, creating content that makes students crave what’s on the menu, and building real connections in the dining hall. If you’re passionate about food, social media, and creating a positive dining experience, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities * Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and promote dining hall initiatives. * Create engaging content (photos, videos, stories, reels, etc.) that showcases our menu, special events, and the dining hall experience. * Actively engage with students on social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly. * Plan and execute on-site events and promotions to drive student participation and build a sense of community. * Collaborate with the dining hall team to identify content opportunities and ensure alignment with the overall marketing strategy. * Analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports to optimize content and strategy. * Assist with other marketing and communication tasks as needed. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. * Proven experience managing social media accounts, preferably for a food-related business or organization. * Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content. * Proficiency in photography and/or videography is a plus. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Passion for food and creating a positive dining experience.
