Social Media Manager

LMSUK (Local Music Scene UK) is a national music promoter and social media agency working closely with musicians both in the UK and around the world.

Based in Portsmouth, LMSUK specialises in growing grass-root acts by improving their online and offline presence as they make steps towards turning their passion and talent into a full time career.

Over the past three years we have grown our team of Social Media Account Specialists into double digits, working with over 140 musicians and groups worldwide. Our aim is to become the biggest and best social media agency within the music industry.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Social Media Manager/Designer to join our team of Account Specialists as a freelancer. Successful candidates will be responsible for working with a variety of musicians and bands to support them and curate their online persona through social media.

Duties include:

• Supporting musicians with their weekly tasks to deliver growth on social media platforms.
• Developing and maintaining plans and strategies for your clients’ social media platforms in order to provide a consistent social media audience growth.
• Creating and providing still-image based graphics or videos edits for the clients’ social media and marketing needs.
• Designing and running paid adverts and campaigns for clients across a range of social media platforms.
• Analysing data and statistics drawn from the performance of your clients’ social media channel to provide them with detailed feedback of monthly successes and areas for improvement .
• Attending the weekly Account Specialist team meetings (virtually) to receive updates on LMSUK and industry developments

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience producing high quality video and still image edits for social media (experience in Canva, Photoshop, Capcut and Premiere Pro beneficial)
• Ability to come up with innovative ideas for social media content
• Experience and knowledge of major social media platform trends and techniques (Instagram and TikTok in particular)
• Strong communication and personable skills both within LMSUK and with clients
• Experience running effective advertising campaigns through social media
• Excellent self-disciplined time management skills
