Job description
Key Responsibilities: • Oversee 24/7 SOC operations, ensuring governance via dashboards and reports. • Regular review of tools and technologies for security compliance and hardening. • Review and update internal policies and procedures, ensuring adherence. • Track and monitor regulatory compliance and effectiveness of controls. • Maintain technology compliance reports and ensure closure of audit points. • Support cybersecurity strategy, risk reduction, and compliance initiatives. • Develop cybersecurity solutions and architecture, ensuring high availability and robust security posture. • Implement and manage security monitoring systems, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools. • Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks. • Provide technical expertise and guidance on security best practices. • Stay current with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities. • Participate in security audits and assessments. • Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees. • Document and maintain security procedures and standards. • Manage and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security devices. • Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions. • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 security support. Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in IT security or a related field. • Strong understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices. • Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools. • Experience with incident response and handling. • Experience with security audits and assessments. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are a plus.
