Job description

Snowflake Expert Engineer About the position We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Expert Engineer to join a long-term development program for a modern data platform in the healthcare sector. The person in this position will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of data architecture and ETL/ELT processes based on Snowflake and dbt. The work is fully remote, using the SCRUM methodology (3-week sprints), with a high degree of autonomy and real impact on the solution's architecture development. Scope of responsibilities Design and development of data platform architecture based on Snowflake. Support for transforming the environment from Snowflake + dbt Cloud to Snowflake + dbt Core + Apache Airflow. Design and implementation of ETL/ELT processes integrating data from multiple sources. Creation of data models and optimization of Snowflake environment performance. Design and implementation of security mechanisms and access management (RBAC, Row-Level Security). Integration of the data platform with external systems and AI solutions. Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation. Task estimation and participation in sprint planning. Conducting code reviews and ensuring code quality. Active participation in SCRUM ceremonies (Daily, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review). Requirements Minimum 8 years of experience in Data Engineering. Minimum 3 years of practical experience with Snowflake. Minimum 2 years of experience with dbt Cloud or dbt Core. Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes. Very good knowledge of SQL (advanced queries, performance optimization, window functions). Experience in data modeling (star schema, layered architecture: Raw → Staging → Marts). Knowledge of security principles and access management in cloud platforms (RBAC, Row-Level Security). Experience working in Agile/SCRUM and with Azure DevOps or Jira tools. Ability to create clear technical documentation. Very good knowledge of English (daily project communication). Nice to have Experience with Apache Airflow (creating and scheduling DAGs). Knowledge of dbt Core and CI/CD. Experience with advanced Snowflake functionalities (Dynamic Tables, Snowpark Python, Incremental Materializations). Knowledge of the AWS environment. Experience working with Confluence. Knowledge of the healthcare or pharma domain. Programming skills in Python. We offer Long-term cooperation in a B2B model.
