SMT Maintenance Supervisor
Job description
Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and team development? We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance team and ensure manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance programs, equipment troubleshooting, resource planning, and supporting production goals through effective maintenance execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
- Plan and coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and drive timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
- Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations with external vendors and contractors.
- Manage maintenance-related budgets, spare parts inventory, and resources.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting metrics.
- Partner closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to support operational objectives.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
- Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment, including: SMT equipment, Radial and Axial Insertion Machines, Wave Solder Machines, Conformal Coating Equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning systems and inventory control.
- Continuous improvement mindset with Lean Manufacturing exposure.
