Site Manager in Plant Engineering (m/w/d)

For the position Site Manager in Plant Engineering, we are looking for a leadership personality who takes overall responsibility for the construction site, keeps all trades in view, and ensures the project is safely completed to handover.

In this role, you will bear the overall operative responsibility for the construction site across all trades, lead the on-site managers, supervisors, and subcontractors, and serve as a central interface to the client. Aufgaben

• Overall responsibility for the operative management and leadership of the construction site across all trades (process engineering, piping, steel construction, EMSR/electrical engineering)
• Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung der vor Ort eingesetzten Bauleiter, Bauüberwacher sowie Koordination der beauftragten Nachunternehmer
• Sicherstellung der Termin-, Kosten- und Qualitätsziele sowie aktives Eskalationsmanagement bei Abweichungen gegenüber der Projektleitung
• Kontinuierliche Überwachung des Projektbudgets sowie Steuerung von Nachtrags- und Claim-Management gegenüber Auftraggeber und Nachunternehmern
• Gesamtverantwortung für Arbeits-, Gesundheits- und Umweltschutz (HSE) auf der gesamten Baustelle
• Zentrale Schnittstelle zum Auftraggeber, zu Behörden sowie zu internen Projektbeteiligten vor Ort
• Steuerung von Baustelleneinrichtung, Logistik und Ressourcenplanung
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung einschlägiger Regelwerke des Chemie- und Anlagenbaus sowie der Genehmigungsauflagen
• Repräsentation des Projekts vor Ort, u. a. in Baubesprechungen, Audits und Abnahmen
• Freigabe und Überwachung von Abnahmen sowie Begleitung der Inbetriebnahme bis zur Anlagenübergabe

Qualifikation

• Completed technical studies (e.g. civil engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering) or comparable technical training with relevant further education
• Multiple years of professional experience in construction site management or project leadership from industrial and plant engineering projects, ideally with personnel responsibility
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments is advantageous
• Fundamental knowledge of project, cost, and schedule management as well as construction contract law
• Safe handling of the relevant regulations for chemical plant engineering (e.g. pressure vessels, safety, DIN, EN, DVGW, BetrSichV, AD 2000, HSE-Standards)
• Knowledge of international standards and best practices in plant engineering is advantageous
• Outstanding leadership strength, assertiveness, and communication skills at all levels
• High travel readiness as well as a valid Class B driver's license
• Negotiation-proof German and good English language skills in writing and speaking
