Site Engineer – Civil Construction Projects

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to plan, design, organise, and oversee the construction and operation of civil engineering projects. The position requires applying civil engineering principles, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and safety, and managing on-site activities from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities: Plan and Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day site activities in compliance with safety and regulations. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures. Site Management: Manage on-site activities, including labour, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective construction processes. Monitor and report on site progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns. Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any defects or non-conformities, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive safety management plan for the project, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and regulations. Monitor and report on site safety performance, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to achieve project objectives. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration. Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project progress, issues, and concerns. Certifications and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in civil construction projects. Strong understanding of Australian standards and regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
