Simulation Engineer (Hydraulics)

Job description

Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated Simulation Engineer to join our Transmission Control Engineering team. This role is responsible for developing and executing simulation strategies to support the design, validation, and optimization of powertrain components and subsystems. The successful candidate will collaborate across engineering disciplines to analyze component behavior under realistic transmission, thermal, and vehicle operating conditions. Key Responsibilities: Lead simulations using specialized software tools to predict and validate performance of powertrain components and subsystems. Develop and execute simulation strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams to support design, validation, and optimization of powertrain components and subsystems. Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to analyze component behavior under realistic transmission, thermal, and vehicle operating conditions. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other stakeholders on the use of simulation tools and techniques. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of simulation results, methodologies, and assumptions. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in simulation engineering, mechanical design, or a related field. Strong understanding of powertrain components and subsystems, including transmission, driveline, and vehicle dynamics. Proficiency in specialized software tools for simulation and analysis, such as ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
