SIL Support Worker - Southern Suburbs

We are seeking a SIL Support Worker to join our team in the Southern Suburbs. As a SIL Support Worker, you will be working with individuals who have a disability, providing support and assistance to enable them to live independently. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with people with a disability and is looking for a challenging and rewarding role. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the SIL model and be able to work independently, as well as part of a team. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds. The SIL Support Worker will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with a disability, including but not limited to: • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living tasks • Assisting with household tasks and maintenance • Supporting individuals to access community services and activities • Providing emotional support and companionship • Assisting with budgeting and financial management • Supporting individuals to access and maintain employment • Providing support and assistance to individuals to access and maintain education and training. The successful applicant will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be available to work on short notice. You will also be required to hold a current First Aid Certificate and have a valid Working with Children Check.
