Signaling Specialist

You will be part of the Signaling & Systems – Digital Intelligence team at Wabtec, recognized as a leader in delivering complex and integrated projects. These projects encompass signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions, with a strong focus on execution, project management, meeting schedules, and customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for the direct execution of Testing, Commissioning, and Assisted Operation along with the wayside team. This function requires connection with areas such as construction, PM, office, telecommunications, human resources, and external stakeholders, with direct interface with suppliers and customers.

We are looking for someone who has a higher education degree in Engineering;

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the railway industry;
• Mandatory intermediate written and spoken English;
• Desirable minimum of 1 year of experience with different suppliers' technologies will be considered an advantage;
• Experience in preparing electrical projects;
• Good knowledge of LADDER programming and Relay Logic;
• Good knowledge of Python, Visual Basic, and VBA programming;
• Basics in C and C++ programming;
• Basics in Software for Electrical Circuit Simulation (Multisim, PSIM, Labview);
• Basics in CAD software (Solid Edge, AutoCad);
• Advanced knowledge of Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio);
• Availability for travel;
• Great capacity for self-development;

You will be responsible for daily tasks such as:

• Testing and Commissioning;
• Realization of technical visits to the field;
• Development, monitoring, and updating of project schedules;
• Interface with customers;
• Interface and communication with clients;
• Development and integration of new systems and technologies applied to train control engineering;
• Evaluation and validation of requirements applied to railway signaling;
• Development of Hardware Project applied to Railway Signaling;
• Development of Software Project applied to Railway Signaling;
• Development of Procedures and Test Sheets for Operational Tests;
• Tests in a QA environment;
• Tests in the field;
• Commissioning and setup of segments to be delivered to operation;
• Assisted Operation of railway segments delivered to operation;
• Diagnostics of operational failures through analysis of log data (event record);
• Preparation of reports on project status and failure analysis for client areas;
• Development of processes and applications for optimizing work routine.
