Shop Lead (m/f/d) Shopify & E-Commerce

Full Time Lead

Job description

You build the shop of a brand that is just starting out — and you keep it.

Hamburg · hybrid · Full-time · from immediate effect

Qstar is The Performance Standard: Performance nutrition from Hamburg for people who achieve a lot in their job, in training, and in everyday life. Six categories, each hero product in taste and clean, a dossier for each product, produced in Germany. Behind Qstar is a founding team that has helped build major brands in this category. We are funded, in development, and sell directly.

Responsibilities

The Role

Our shop runs on Shopify and will grow in the coming months from two products to a range of around 60 items, with bundles, individual landing pages, and further features. You are the person who owns this shop. You implement yourself, bring in freelance programmers when code is needed, and coordinate design, Klaviyo, tracking, and apps.

What you will do

  • You will build the platform: Theme, sections, templates for category, product, bundle, dossier, and landing pages - on a data model that supports 200 articles.
  • You will design the purchasing process: Edition and flavor selection, subscription logic, shopping cart, checkout, reorder - in the tone of the brand.
  • You will make launches repeatable: Naming, claim check, dossier, images, metafields, launch flow - a process instead of manual work.
  • You will connect the shop with Klaviyo, so that first-time purchases become routines.
  • You will measure: Tracking plan, consent, a weekly report that everyone trusts.
  • You will brief and manage freelancers for code, design implementation, Klaviyo, and tracking - and take over.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Four to eight years of D2C e-commerce, including several years hands-on Shopify: theme customization, metafields, apps, subscription tools.
  • You have previously built or relaunched a shop with freelancers and know what you do yourself and what you brief.
  • Experience with bundle and subscription models; supplements, food, or beauty are a plus.
  • Klaviyo basics, understanding of tracking and consent, in control of numbers: conversion, AOV, repeat purchase.
  • You can work with fixed brand guidelines and tell us if a conversion idea damages the brand.
  • Negotiation-level German, Hamburg or hybrid, short notice period is an advantage.

Benefits

What we offer

A shop that you will shape from the beginning and that grows with the assortment, just like your responsibility. Budget for freelancers and tools. Direct contact with founders, growth, creative direction, and product development. Headquarters in Hamburg with a content studio. Hybrid working. Salary €55,000 to €80,000 depending on experience. And products that you will want to use yourself.

How it works

An initial conversation with Kathi (Growth) and Tim (CEO). Afterwards, a 60-minute case study at our office: one protein, six flavors, two editions, two sizes, optional bundle, how do you build this, and how do you brief the developer for it? Then an introductory meeting with the team. No unpaid homework. Maximum three weeks from application to decision.

Send us your CV, one or two shops you have been responsible for, and three sentences answering the question: What three things would you change on our shop first, and why?
