Job description
SHEQ Advisor - Repairs & Maintenance Based in Essex Permanent Monday to Friday Full time 36 hours per week Key Responsibilities Provide expert guidance on Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality processes, supporting the delivery of the SHEQ framework and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to embed safety practices, develop compliant policies and procedures, and ensure contractor adherence to protocols. Lead and support Health and Safety initiatives, conducting risk assessments, audits, and inspections as required. Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange. Provide SHEQ training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors. Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging employee engagement and participation in SHEQ initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to integrate SHEQ into business operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective SHEQ management. Provide expert guidance on SHEQ-related matters, including incident investigation and reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, such as OSHA, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001. Develop and maintain a comprehensive SHEQ manual, outlining policies, procedures, and guidelines for the organization. Provide support to employees on SHEQ-related matters, including training, coaching, and mentoring. Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging employee engagement and participation in SHEQ initiatives.
