Job Title: Shaft Timberman - Mining - Gauteng Location: Gauteng, South Africa Job Type: Full-time Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shaft Timberman to join their mining operation in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and stability of underground shafts by installing and maintaining timber support structures. Key Responsibilities: - Install, repair, and maintain timber support structures in underground shafts - Monitor and control the installation of timber support structures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards - Conduct regular inspections of timber support structures to identify and address any defects or damage - Collaborate with other mining personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination of shaft timbering activities - Develop and implement procedures for the installation, maintenance, and repair of timber support structures - Ensure compliance with relevant mining regulations and standards - Provide training and guidance to other mining personnel on shaft timbering procedures and best practices. Key Requirements: - 5 years of experience in shaft timbering or a related field - Strong understanding of mining regulations and standards - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials - Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces - Ability to work in a team environment - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
