Service Technician / POS Technician for Retail-Tech in Field Service (m/w/d)

You don't want to spend all day processing tickets or just sitting at a computer? You like being on the road, packing practically with it and finding it good when you see what you've achieved at the end of the day?

Then this position might fit quite well.

Our customer develops and installs modern technical solutions for retail – for example, digital screens, Selfie-Mirrors, electronic price tags, display systems, and other Retail-Tech solutions. We are not looking for a pure IT specialist, but a reliable technician with practical understanding, neat appearance, and enthusiasm for varied assignments on site.

Tasks

You will be deployed nationwide at customer sites and ensure that modern Retail-Tech systems are properly installed, mounted, set up, and put into operation.

You won't work abstractly somewhere in the background, but directly with customers on site. You'll build technology, test functions, synchronize with market partners, and ensure everything runs smoothly at the end.

Typical tasks include:

• Assembly and installation of screens, displays, electronic price tags, and similar systems
• Setting up and putting into operation technical Retail solutions directly with customers
• Conducting simple function tests and technical checks
• Synchronizing with store managers, project participants, and internal contact persons
• Documented execution of assignments
• Support for rollouts, updates, and technical expansions
• Occasional error analysis and practical solution on site

Qualification

What's most important is that you think practically, work reliably, and enjoy being on the road.

You don't need to be a studied IT expert. What matters most is that you understand technology, can install it neatly, and leave a good impression with customers.

You might fit well if you have experience as:

• Service technician
• POS technician
• Media technician
• Event technician
• Telecommunications technician
• Maintenance technician
• Field Service Technician
• Techician in the field of digital signage, displays, retail, or similar environments

What's also important:

• Handicraft skills and technical basic understanding
• First contact with IT, networks, hardware, or digital systems
• Very good German for regular customer contact
• Class B driver's license
• Travel readiness for nationwide deployments
• Reliability, self-reliance, and a friendly demeanor
