This technical service provider has been active in industry, energy, and utilities for over 100 years. The organization operates throughout the Netherlands, with locally organized teams that operate largely independently. You will have short lines of communication with colleagues and will be trusted to perform your work according to your own insight.

Within the Industrial Automation business unit, you will collaborate with engineers, project leaders, and other technical specialists. Together, you will maintain and improve installations that customers use to control their production processes.

The work atmosphere is informal and down-to-earth. Your practical experience counts: what you discover at a customer's site, you discuss directly with colleagues who can help with a solution or improvement. This way, you have influence on the technology and the result for the customer.

The role
This is what you will do

As a Service Technician for Industrial Automation, you will work on installations at customers in the Nijmegen region. You will perform maintenance, investigate malfunctions, and adjust systems. In doing so, you want to understand where a problem originates and how to ensure the installation operates reliably.

You will largely plan your own work and maintain direct contact with customers. For complex issues, you will consult with engineers and project teams. Do you see opportunities to improve a process or installation? Then you will discuss these and contribute to the execution.

Your tasks include:

• Maintaining, adapting, and expanding industrial automation systems.
• Locating and resolving malfunctions in PLC-controlled installations.
• Contributing ideas for improvements to installations and production processes.
• Identifying and discussing optimizations and additional work with customers.
• Collaborating with engineers and project teams on complex technical questions.
• Taking responsibility for your work and customer contact.

• A gross monthly salary between € 3,300 and € 4,100.
• 38 days off per year: 25 vacation days and 13 ADV (reduction of working time) days.

What we expect from you
Do you recognize yourself?

You are curious about how machines and processes work. You investigate technical problems, think about solutions, and take responsibility for your work. You also communicate easily with customers and colleagues.

This is what you bring:

• A technical education at MBO level 3 or 4 in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering.
• An independent attitude and sense of responsibility.
• The motivation to further develop your technical knowledge.
• Driver's license B.

Experience in industry or mechanical engineering is a plus. Knowledge of PLCs and control technology is also highly valued. If you recognize yourself in the role but do not yet meet all the requirements, we are happy to talk to you.
