Responsibilities and expectations:
- As a field service technician, you will perform preventive maintenance, testing, and inspections of power transformers and other medium- and high-voltage equipment. Responsibilities include commissioning equipment, installing modernized components, thermal imaging inspections, and repairing devices such as circuit breakers and sectionalizers. Additionally, you will be responsible for writing detailed reports on your work and findings.
- Preventive maintenance.
- Power transformer testing and inspections.
- Variety of electrical tests on medium- and high-voltage equipment.
- Commissioning.
- Installation of upgraded equipment (retrofit).
- Thermal imaging inspections.
- Equipment repair (circuit breakers, sectionalizers, etc.).
- Report writing.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial electronics or electromechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Have 2-5 years of on-site experience.
- Be available to work on various sites across the Quebec territory.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Hold an ASP construction card.
Physical abilities:
- Occasionally exert force up to 50 pounds, and/or frequently exert force up to 30 pounds, and/or constantly exert force up to 10 pounds to move objects.
- Frequent travel requirements (75% and more).
