Our client, a trusted forklift sales and service provider, is on the lookout for a qualified Forklift Mechanic to join their team supporting businesses across Nelson, Tasman, and Motueka. From warehouses to wharves, you’ll play a key role keeping local industries running smoothly - with the backing of a national materials-handling leader.

Our client, a trusted forklift sales and service provider, is on the lookout for a qualified Forklift Mechanic to join their team supporting businesses across Nelson, Tasman, and Motueka. From warehouses to wharves, you’ll play a key role keeping local industries running smoothly - with the backing of a national materials-handling leader.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain, service, and repair forklifts on-site and in the workshop
- Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Complete preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Provide professional, friendly service to customers across the region
- NZQA Level 4 Trade Qualification (Automotive, Heavy Diesel, or similar)
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience with forklifts or heavy machinery
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Great communication and independent work ethic
- Safety and quality focused
- $36–$38/hr + overtime & on-call allowance
- Company vehicle for business use
