Service Technician / Agricultural Machinery Engineer Service Technician / Agricultural Machinery Engineer - Invercargill, New Zealand - $40.00 –$45.00 per Hour Start Date: Seasonal Contract (Approx. 6 Months) - October 2026 onwards The Job: We are working on behalf of a leading agricultural machinery service business in New Zealand to recruit experienced Service Technicians to support increased seasonal demand. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery, including tractors, combines, and other equipment • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with agricultural machinery and implement effective solutions • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used • Participate in continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for experienced Service Technicians who have a strong background in agricultural machinery engineering or a related field. You will be a skilled diesel mechanic with experience working on tractors, combines, and other agricultural equipment. You will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in agricultural machinery engineering or a related field • Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery systems and components • Ability to lift up to 50 kg (110 lbs) and work at heights • Valid driver's license • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
