YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Test & Service Engineer for an important partner company, an international leader in the production of HVAC systems, within a site with strong expertise in power electronics.

The role combines technical activities in the laboratory with interventions at clients' and foreign subsidiaries' sites.

On-site, you will be responsible for analyzing defective components and equipment, testing, and verification activities, while during business trips, you will support local technical teams in maintenance, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of technical issues.

We are looking for someone with a solid technical background in power electronics, even if gained in sectors other than HVAC, who is eager to grow through internal training on the product and company technologies.

This role is suitable for those who enjoy alternating technical laboratory work with the more dynamic dimension of international travel and are comfortable in a multicultural environment.

Work location: Vicenza (VI) with national and international travel.

Business trips generally last 2-3 days, with the possibility of extending up to about a week in some cases.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In the laboratory:

• Analyze components, inverters, and electrical panels exhibiting anomalies or malfunctions.
• Support failure analysis activities by identifying possible causes of failures and collecting necessary technical evidence.
• Perform testing, verification, and validation activities of products and components.
• Conduct electrical measurements and checks using laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, and current and voltage probes.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Collect, analyze, and organize data from tests.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation related to testing and analysis activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Service departments to identify solutions to encountered problems and contribute to product improvement.

During business trips:

• Travel to client sites and subsidiaries, primarily abroad, to support technical maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist local technicians during interventions on inverters, electrical panels, and related equipment.
• Perform electrical measurements and checks directly in the field.
• Analyze logs, parameters, configurations, wiring, and operating conditions to identify the causes of anomalies.
• Collect information, measurements, and other technical evidence useful for diagnosis in a structured manner.
• Contribute to defining the technical solution and its subsequent follow-up with internal teams.
• Interact with international technicians and stakeholders in English.

YOUR REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma as an Electrical/Electronic Technician, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Automation Engineering, or equivalent training.
• 1-3 years of experience in technical roles, preferably in power electronics.
• Basic knowledge of main power electronics components and circuits, such as IGBTs, SCRs, diodes, capacitors, electronic boards, and cooling systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments, particularly multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and current/voltage probes.
• Interest in analysis, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Good knowledge of the English language, necessary for working in an international context and during business trips.
• Availability for frequent travel in Italy and especially abroad, even with short-term notice.
• Good team working skills, a practical approach, and a problem-solving orientation.
• Precision, method, and attention to safety in activities involving electrical equipment.

What we offer?

The gross annual salary for this role ranges between EUR 30,000 and EUR 35,000.

An additional allowance for foreign or domestic travel will be paid on top of this.

The position is classified within the scope of the CCNL Commercio e Terziario applied by our company.

The placement within the range will be determined based on technical skills, specific experience in the role, and the outcomes of the selection process, according to objective and predefined criteria. In the presence of profiles with exceptional characteristics compared to the indicated range, a review may be considered upon internal approval.
