Service Engineer

As a Service Engineer, you are part of a dynamic team specializing in high-tech powder processing machines, primarily used in R&D environments within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, and chemical industries. In this role, you are responsible for:

• Electrical and mechanical assembly: You build and assemble machines according to the specified guidelines.
• Drawing work: Drawing and adapting electrical schematics in E-plan, supporting the development and optimization of machines.
• Calibration and qualification: You ensure the calibration and qualification of machines coming out of production, so they meet the highest standards.
• Technical support and service: Maintenance, troubleshooting technical problems, and technical support, both from the main location in Zele and internationally (20% travel).
• Testing: Collaborating with project engineers on testing and analyzing machines and test setups.

For this challenging and versatile role, we are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

• Education: Bachelor's or degree in an electrically oriented field.
• Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Technical skills: Experience with E-plan is a strong plus; knowledge of other electrical drawing programs such as Autocad or See Electrical is also interesting.
• Personal characteristics: Flexible, hands-on, sociable, team player, works autonomously, customer-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Travel: Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20% of the time. Often, these are short periods with no weekend work involved.
• Problem-solving skills: An analytical and quality-oriented mindset.

They have been developing and building high-tech powder processing machines for research and development in pharma, biotech, food, chemistry, etc., for over 30 years. Since January 2021, they, along with their sister company, have been located in the Lokeren region. The 16-person team is currently looking for an enthusiastic service engineer to expand the team.
